Directions:

From the East:

From I-68, take exit 42.  Turn left on Greene Street.  Road changes to US 220 south.  Stay on US-220 for approx 18 miles.  Turn slight left on Crooks Avenue.  Turn right onto MD-135/Westernport Rd SW. Continue to follow MD-135.  Turn right onto Main Street.  Library will be on the right.

From the West:

From I-68, take exit 34 south.  Follow MD Rt 36 approx. 16 miles to Westernport.  Turn left on Washington Street.  Turn left on Main Street. The library will be on the right.

    The Westernport Library opened on Main Street in Westernport on February 22, 1970.  The library replaced a previous 1925 building in Westernport when the community outgrew the one-room facility. 

 

    The current library, located next to the Post Office,  has many resources and services to offer patrons, including books for adults and children, magazines, audio books on tape, Interlibrary Loan services, and weekly children's programs.  

 

    There is a meeting room in the library for groups and organizations to use.  Please contact a librarian for more information or to make a room reservation.
