General Policies for the Library

The loan rules and fines for borrowing material are as follows:

Fines for late returns:

One overdue notice will be mailed to a patron with an overdue item, beginning 7 days after an item's due date.  Patrons with email notification set up will receive one friendly notice a day prior to the due date of the item, and one overdue notice by email.  Items that are not returned will reach a "long overdue" status 3 weeks after the due date, and the patron's record will be billed for the price of the item.   Library borrowing privileges will be suspended if the patron's overdue balance exceeds $7.00 or if overdue material becomes "Long Overdue".

*  Borrowers will be charged for the replacement of long overdue or damaged items.

*  There is a $1.00 charge to replace a lost library card.
