Introduction to the Computer

This class will cover the basics, including an overview of the parts of a computer, desktop, navigation, saving files, printing and much more.  Designed for the novice user.

Introduction to the Internet

This class is designed for people with no prior experience using the Internet.  Learn about browsers, search engines, and        hyperlinks.  We will perform simple searches on a search     engine, and enter web site addresses for direct access to sites

Searching the Catalog

This three-part class will show you some tips for how to search the library catalog for Titles, Audio Books, and items in a Series.  Included are placing a hold request, limiting searches to a specific branch, and using Novelist.

Online Information Tour

The library provides free access to many resources on our  Online Databases page--everything from auto repair to encyclopedias and more!  This tour will demonstrate how to access this information anytime from anywhere.

 

Introduction to Microsoft Word

This class introduces users to Microsoft Word, a word processing program.  In five easy lessons, you will learn about common elements in Microsoft Office programs, toolbars and buttons, how to troubleshoot, and how to save and print your document.

Introduction to Microsoft Word Intermediate

This second part to the Microsoft Word class continues to demonstrate the features of this word processing program.  In these five lessons, you will learn about buttons, clip art, bullets, templates, borders, and word count.

Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint

This class will show how you can make powerful slide presentations of topics to groups of people, even of your own photos and hobbies.  PowerPoint presentations can be printed, displayed, projected or even posted to the web.
