Metropolitan Museum of Art

The section of the site devoted to the Museum's online Collection allows you to search for a particular work of art. Select "Search the Collection" in the upper right side of the pages in this section. You can search the entire online collection, the Provenance Research Project (a list of all European paintings in the collection with incomplete provenance for the Nazi era), or just the Museum's collection of more than 2,500 European paintings. You can search for events and programs by date, type (e.g., Family Programs), or subject (e.g., Asian Art) by selecting "Search for Events" in the upper left side of the online calendar. The Explore & Learn section (which includes a vast array of educational features related to the collection and exhibitions) allows you to search by key words and phrases using Search Explore & Learn located in the upper left side of the pages of this section
