Popcorn will also be served. The library system has been offering a variety of summer, camp-type fun experiences this year. These programs just make a great family outing; there free; you can include grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins, everyone. Plus you get to load up on books, magazines, DVDs, videos, audiotapes for the next few days, all in one stop. Families are also invited to participate in our Summer Camp Craft: Found Art Sculptures. Come look at our display that will be at the Main Branch starting Monday, July 21. All kinds of ideas should come to mind, so you can then go home and begin building your own sculpture from found objects. These types of sculptures are often called Recycled Art. Don’t forget to bring your sculpture in to the library so we can show it off and encourage others in this fun craft. “I can hardly wait to see what creative ideas the families in this artistic community are going to come with for their sculptures,” commented Linda Burkey, library staff member. “Who doesn’t have some really cool junk sitting around just waiting for the proverbial someday to use it?
